About this image: I was given this rose as a gift from Nancy Lewis on the occasion of my "retirement" from Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. The blooms on this lovely rose fade quickly so in this instance, I asked my son to take a picture of the blooms. It is rare for me to create a piece of art from a photo but in this case I did. My son took many snapshots and they were lovely. The buds on this plant are yellow when they first appear and then fade to pink and white.
